About
My goals as a designer are to work toward a sustainable, circular supply chain and to encourage, empower, and support women. I am passionate about making positive change and building others up with creative solutions.
During my time in the apparel industry, I have had multiple professional internships and am now an Associate Sleepwear Designer at Komar Brands. I am in a unique position in my current role, working closely with all aspects of the concept-to-market process, which gives me a detailed perspective of market trends, sales, and industry changes.
I am currently the subject matter expert within my company utilizing Browzwear fashion design technology to create compelling presentations with the goal to reduce over sampling and streamline the concept to point-of-sale process. Managing a team of CAD artists overseas, and collaborating with other creatives within the company, I am working to set a new standard for digital presentations.
Base Layer 3D Hike
One of Taylors’ first major ventures into 3D resulted in this rendering. Featuring her designs, built and exported from VStitcher, avatars were loaded then into Adobe Dimension. Once the avatars were placed in the 3D environment, a background image was selected, lighting adjusted, and accessories were added to complete the scene.
Circle Dress
For the final project to achieve her certificate in Browzwear Fashion Design Technology at FIT, Taylor recreated a college project utilizing engineered prints and Japanese patternmaking techniques.
Wearable Art
An assortment of wearable art pieces Taylor designed in college.
Swimming in Circles dress utilizes the Circular Jabara Japanese patternmaking technique with engineered prints, inspired by ancient Middle Eastern pottery.
Zipper Dress is a conceptual piece made from zipper tape with metal zipper pull embellishments. There are no closures on the garment, it is simply slipped on and off.
Floral Burst dress is a digitally printed dress with the image of a golden Aster superimposed around the body. The image is engineered across panels with a cut out of the center of the flower stitched on top with edges frayed.
Lingerie Capsule
